Rebuilding Kherson: Ukrainians return to pick up the pieces

The Ukrainian military has retaken control of dozens of villages in the south of the country, but it says Russian forces are pushing back against its counteroffensive. Despite the fighting, Ukrainian civilians have begun returning to their destroyed homes.

The Ukrainian army says it is continuing to recapture villages from retreating Russian forces around the city of Kherson.
Many of the settlements lie in ruins and farmers are working in dangerous conditions to harvest crops.
Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford reports from southern Ukraine.
